Knighton After School Programme (KASP) aims to provide a safe, caring, stimulating, and fun place for all children to go to before school, after school, and during the holidays. It is a place where children can choose to participate in a variety of activities. Through a varied programme KASP aims to meet the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, creative and cultural needs of the children. KASP is an Incorporated Society operated by parents (not the school). KASP does not operate on public holidays. KASP operates on the school property.
Before School Care operates between 7.00am - 8.30am during the school term. Session times vary within these times.
Before School Care has breakfast of cereal and/or toast and a warm drink of milo available for children until 8.15am daily. There are quiet activities like card games and Lego to play with and a short movie to enjoy before the bell for school goes.
After School Care operates between 3.00pm - 6.00pm during the school term. Session times vary within these times.
After School Care has afternoon tea available when children arrive with an appropriate snack like cheese on toast, sausage rolls, fruit/vegetables, cheese, crackers, etc. The afternoons are filled with indoor activities like art/crafts, card games, Xbox and outdoor activities like the playgrounds, turf or playing sports on the courts and field. During terms 1 & 4 the pool is available to use. In terms 2 & 3 the staff are rostered to lead an activity with the children, these range from crafts to sports.
The Holiday Programme operates between 7.30am - 5.30pm during the school holidays. Session times vary within these times.
The Holiday Programme provides breakfast of cereal and/or toast and a warm drink of milo as well as morning tea and afternoon tea of crackers, fruit/vegetable, baking, etc. Parents/Caregivers are required to provide lunch for their child/ren on a daily basis. On excursion days, KASP will provide morning and afternoon tea however parents/caregivers need to provide extra food for snacks.
Holiday Programme content varies each holidays with different activities at the centre as well as excursions within Hamilton, and surrounding areas.
Enrolments are made on https://kasp.aimyplus.com There is a one-off enrolment fee of $20.
All families must complete the online enrolment before the child/ren can participate in the programme.
All enrolments must be completed online for permanent and casual children.
